Overview
Slack refund approvals with Lumtry
Connect Slack to Lumtry and every refund your policy holds for review posts to a channel you choose, with Approve, Deny and Open in dashboard buttons. Lumtry checks the signature, the single-use action token, who clicked and the case's current state before it acts, and the dashboard stays the source of truth.
Overview
What it does
- Posts each held refund to your chosen channel with the amount, reason, policy version and any risk flag.
- Lets a linked approver approve or deny from the message, with a decision note on a denial.
- Updates the message to its final state after a Slack decision, and records who decided on the audit trail.

Install the Slack app
An Owner or Admin clicks Connect Slack on the Integrations page and approves the install in Slack.
Pick the approval channel

Link each approver
Every approver links their own Slack identity once. Lumtry refuses clicks from Slack users it cannot map to a workspace member.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can anyone in the channel approve a refund?
No. Only a member who has linked their Slack identity and holds the Operator role or higher can decide. High-risk or escalated cases need an Owner or Admin, the same rule the dashboard applies.
What if a Slack button is clicked twice, or after the case changed?
Each button carries a single-use token bound to that approval and your Slack workspace. A replayed or expired click is refused, and a click on a case that is no longer pending changes nothing.
Is Slack the source of truth for a decision?
No. A Slack click is a decision intent. Lumtry re-checks the case in the dashboard record before acting, so the dashboard and the audit trail always hold the outcome.
What happens if we disconnect Slack?
New approvals stop posting to Slack and held cases continue in the dashboard. If Slack revokes the app's token, Lumtry disconnects the integration on its own.
