Connect your WooCommerce store to Lumtry with REST API keys. When a refund is recorded on a store order, Lumtry opens a case, decides it under your versioned policy, asks a person when the policy says so, and pays the refund through your connected Stripe or PayPal account, with every step on an append-only audit record.

## What it does

- Opens a refund case when a refund is recorded on a WooCommerce order, and decides it with your published policy.
- Looks up WooCommerce orders for the shopper portal, so customers can start a return by order number and email.
- Lets you publish a policy version that applies only to WooCommerce cases, next to your default policy.

## Set it up

1. **Create your workspace**: Sign up and create a Lumtry workspace for the store. Nothing reaches WooCommerce until an Owner or Admin connects it.
2. **Create REST API keys**: In WooCommerce, open Settings, then Advanced, then REST API, and create a key with Read/Write permissions.
3. **Connect the store**: Paste the store URL, consumer key and consumer secret in the dashboard. Lumtry checks the keys, then registers its refund notification on your store with a secret only Lumtry holds.
4. **Publish a policy and watch first**: Publish your refund rules, then run cases in shadow mode to see what the policy would decide before you switch it on.

## What Lumtry reads

- The refund recorded on the order, with the order number, amount and currency.
- Order status and the customer's order count, as signals your policy rules can read.
- Order lines, variants and stock levels, for shopper portal lookups and return labels.

## What Lumtry writes

- The refund notification Lumtry registers on your store when you connect, removed again when you disconnect.
- Nothing else. Lumtry does not change orders, stock or notes in WooCommerce; the refund itself runs through Stripe or PayPal.

## Frequently asked questions

### How does Lumtry know a WooCommerce notification is genuine?

Lumtry creates a secret for your store when you connect and checks the signature on every notification before it records anything. WooCommerce's unsigned activation ping is answered without touching any data.

### Can Lumtry offer store credit or an exchange on WooCommerce?

Not yet. Lumtry cannot write store credit or exchange orders to WooCommerce today, so a case that needs either waits for a person to resolve it by hand.

### Which WooCommerce stores can I connect?

One store per workspace, and a store can belong to only one workspace. After connecting, the dashboard shows the store host, the last four characters of the key and a health badge.

### What happens if I disconnect the store?

New notifications from the store are recorded but no longer open cases, and cases already in progress continue. Lumtry also tries to remove its notification from the store.
